Asma Altuwaijri is the Executive Director at the Saudi Esports Academy, a key division of the Saudi Esports Federation (SEF), the national body that organises and oversees some of the largest gaming tournaments and esports activities in the Kingdom. With 18 years of experience, Asma Altuwaijri’s expertise in large-scale development strategies and planning has made her invaluable to every business she has worked in – across different sectors including education, healthcare, oil and energy, and esports. Asma has been pivotal in driving transformative initiatives and operating complex levers.

She has been instrumental at the Saudi Esports Federation by spearheading the first esports education institution in Saudi Arabia from the ground up. Asma Altuwaijri developed programmes in the Saudi Esports Academy that positioned the Kingdom as a facilitator of esports talent on a global scale. By creating the framework and aligning it with the national strategy, she has been able to secure key partnerships with international institutions. Under her leadership, hundreds of graduates, many of them championship-winning professionals, have been produced and trained at the academy.

Prior to SEF, Asma worked at the Saudi Aramco Driving Center, where she managed over 100 employees, and most crucially, navigated a critical period for the business during the COVID-19 pandemic. She held a leadership role at Saudi Aramco, managing large-scale workforce initiatives which included advancing the Saudisation programme.

Her expertise also extends to the healthcare industry, where she has been instrumental in transforming the Saudi Red Crescent Authority, leading a programme called Saudi Heart that redefined emergency response and disaster relief capabilities. She played a role in recruiting and training Saudi Arabia’s first female paramedics, paving the way for more gender inclusivity in the healthcare industry.

Fluent in both English and Arabic, Asma is a graduate of King Saud University, holding a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education and a Master’s Degree in Educational/Instructional Technologies. She has been certified by the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD) in the UK.
