Burcu Cetinkaya | FIA Correspondent for the Turkish Touring and Automobile Club (TTOK)

​

"I am a former professional rally driver and the current FIA Correspondent for the Turkish Touring and Automobile Club (TTOK). My professional journey in the fast-paced worlds of media and motorsports has been marked by notable achievements, including becoming the only woman to score points in the Eurosport IRC Championship in 2010. This experience along with my international educational background has enabled me to cultivate a global network, reaching from Pakistan to Finland, and the USA to Belgium.

In my recent appointment as Chair of the FIA Women in Motorsport Commission, I am dedicated to advancing gender equality and empowering women within the motorsport industry. This role aligns perfectly with my passion for leadership and advocacy, enhancing my commitment to fostering diversity and inclusion in sports."

 

Burcu Cetinkaya is 7 times Turkish Ladies Rally Champion. She was one of the first international lady drivers of Red Bull in Rally between 2008-2013. In 2008 she finished Fiesta Sporting Trophy International in 2nd overall. She was the first lady driver to score points in IRC in 2010 and got the Eurosport Special Award for that. She also finished WRC Rally of Turkey 12 overall in 2010 and got the Abu Dhabi Special Award. She was the first international as well as the lady driver to race in the Pakistan Jhal Magsi Rally. She is the first lady driver to finish the Middle East Rally Championship on the Class N overall podium a few times. She studied entrepreneurship and business administration in Babson College, Boston and graduated with an economics degree from Koc University. She is fluent in Turkish, English and French. She also graduated from FIA University ESADE Business School emerging as leaders programme in 2023.

• Since April 2023 she works as the FIA Correspondent of the Turkish Touring and Automobile Club (TTOK) as well as continuing to race privately in rallies. She is a mother of one boy.

 

• She prepared and presented a TV show on the automotive industry in TV 24 for 6 years.

 

• She presented a live TV Show in Bloomberg HT for 2 years.

 

• She prepared and presented a TV show on WRC rallies in TRT 3 Spor actively doing interviews in French and English.

 

• She also actively participated in the project of Turkish Ministry of Youth and Sports by giving seminars to more than a thousand youngsters in Turkiye. As well as many other university seminars with Red Bull and in private to introduce motorsports to a wider geography. She visited more than 8 universities in Pakistan as well as participating in many events of Red Bull in Europe.

 

• She has a driver’s license and a passion for cars, motorbikes, trucks and buses.

​

• She also started her mobile coffee shop brand “Rallyfood” where she sells cookies and

sandwiches she produces on her family farm from ancient emmer wheat grains.
