Karen Webb Moss | Chair of Aquatics GB & Strategic Adviser/Chair, More than Equal

Karen is Chair of Aquatics GB and Chair and Strategic Adviser of More than Equal (an initiative in motorsport focused on finding and developing the first female F1 champion).
Through her own business, she works with brands, sports, cities, and governments advising on reputation management, nation branding, mega event and sport strategies, corporate and marketing communications, governance, and sport integrity.
Having started her career as a journalist, moving onto corporate communications and marketing for broadcasters and global brands; she then spent decades in the global sport business.
Karen has held leadership positions at the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy, FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, the International Centre for Sport Security & Integrity, the International Olympic Committee, the Olympic Park Legacy Company, among others.
Karen’s in-house advisory roles include the Riyadh 2030 EXPO, Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games, Westfield, BT, the Sported Foundation, the International Paralympic Committee and the Mayor of London’s office.
She has several successful sporting bids under her belt such as the Rio 2016 Games, London 2017 World Athletics, World Rugby’s push to return to the Olympic programme and more recently a Olympic & Paralympic Games’ bid and other major event bids for Middle East countries.
As a consultant, she has also worked with West Ham, Swatch, Visa, BBC Worldwide, the Welsh Development Agency, London Borough of Newham, and Beyond Sport. She has advised country leaders on global reputation management, sport business, sport events, legacy and sport tourism strategies for nations including Australia, Denmark, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Abu Dhabi.
She is an advocate and mentor for women and girls in sport business; a respected media and conference speaker covering topics including bold leadership, being a successful female leader in sport, DEI, reputation management, empowering and developing women, the Olympic and Paralympic movements, event legacies, the social impact of sport and - on surviving breast cancer!
