Professor David Hassan | Associate Dean of the Faculty of Life and Health Sciences and Professor of Sport Policy and Management at Ulster University

 

Professor Hassan has published 15 books and 175 other scientific outputs, having worked collaboratively with academic researchers from around the globe. Currently Principal Investigator (Lead researcher) on the United Against Online Abuse (UAOA) initiative, a collaboration of leading sporting bodies and national governments with a shared commitment to tackling online abuse in sport, Professor Hassan’s work with the FIA University – motorsport’s world governing body – has seen him lead many important research projects on behalf of the FIA.

 

Professor Hassan will speak on the recent findings of the First Annual Barometer of Online Abuse in Sport, which was published earlier this year, and indicate the actions UAOA is promoting to address one of sport’s most insidious challenges.
