Dania Akeel | Motorsport Professional, Jameel Motorsports

My name is Dania Akeel, and I’m from Saudi Arabia. I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in “Modern History and Politics” from Royal Holloway University of London in the UK, then moved to complete a Master’s degree in “International Business” at Hult International Business School. I started my career at the administration office of a newly opened school in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia and then moved into the field of consulting. 

 

I am also a passionate motorsports athlete. I participated in my first motorcycle racing season for the Ducati Cup in the UAE National Sportsbike Superseries 2019/2020 season. I performed well and was awarded the trophy for ‘Rookie of the Year’. 

 

I moved into the rally-raid racing discipline in 2021 once I had been exposed to the Dakar Rally, which arrived to Saudi Arabia. I started my rally-raid journey by racing in the FiA World Cup for Bajas in the T3 class and won the title for the t3 category. I finished my first Dakar Rally in 2022 in the top 10 of the T3 class (P8 from 48 competitors), I was the first Saudi and Arab woman to achieve this. I went onto win a stage of the Dakar Rally in 2025 in the Challenger class, being the first Arab women to achieve this. 

 

I moved onto racing in the Ultimate class in 2024. I was crowned the FiA Middle East Bajas champion in both 2024 and 2025, a first overall rally championship win for any female worldwide. I was also Vice-Champion of the Saudi Rally Championship in both 2024 & 2025.

My intention is to consistently grow and develop as a person on the walk of life.
