Maria Laura Scuri is VP of Product (Community) at ESL FACEIT Group (EFG), the world’s leading video game and esports entertainment company. Joining FACEIT as founding employee at the very start of the business in 2013, she helped scale the platform to 40M+ users, culminating in the merger with ESL and the US$1.5 billion acquisition by Savvy Games Group. 

Her career bridges a personal passion for competitive gaming, demonstrated by managing a top 800 global World of Warcraft guild with 15 Cutting Edge achievements over several years, with executive leadership in AI, Trust & Safety, and Community scaling. Today, she leads a complex cross-functional organisation leveraging advanced tech and AI (including the award-winning Minerva, Human Input Detection and more) to create safe, thriving digital spaces for millions of players worldwide.
