Ameera Marghalani | Captain, Saudi Arabia Women’s Rugby Team
Ameera Marghalani is captain of the Saudi National Women’s Rugby Team and a Tourism student at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University, dedicated to creating meaningful impact through sport, education, and community engagement. She consistently finds opportunities to make a difference while representing Saudi Arabia with pride.
In the Kingdom’s rugby scene, Ameera has reached milestones that place her among its most accomplished figures. She is the first Saudi rugby referee to officiate both men’s and women’s matches. Alongside her national team role, she captains Tuwaiq Rugby Club, setting the standard on and off the field, and guided the club to its first international win at its second Dubai 7s appearance. For her performances and growth across the 2026 season, she was named Best Player of the Season. She is also a certified coach who has completed numerous officiating and development courses, strengthening her expertise across multiple areas of the game.
On campus, Ameera contributes as Head of the Media Committee and as the representative of all university clubs, fostering collaboration and student engagement.
